Conquering 6,000km Across Australia’s Most Remote Terrain
In just 10 days, we conquered 6,000km across Australia’s most remote terrain on our Yamaha T7 World Raid’s.
Riding through the most remote and unforgiving landscapes on earth is as much a test of character as it is of machine. This time, Rodney and I were ready to push both to the limit. With a shared thirst for adventure, we set out on a journey that would take us diagonally across Australia — cutting through some of the wildest terrain from my place in Western Australia to Rodney’s home in Queensland.
We loaded up Rodney’s Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid, shipped it to my house, and embarked on a 10-day, 6,000 km off-road expedition that would see us traverse everything from the Stirling Ranges to the heart of the Simpson Desert. From endless stretches of rocky trails and deep water crossings to the flat, desolate expanse of the Nullarbor Plain, every kilometre was a reminder of just how vast and relentless this country can be.
Out here, there’s no safety net. No backup crew. Just two mates, two bikes, and the open road. As we pushed deeper into No Man’s Land, the conditions got tougher, the isolation more extreme. But that’s exactly what we came for. It’s not just about the ride—it’s about what you discover when you’re completely off the grid, relying on your skills, your wits, and the reliability of your machine.
This was more than an adventure; it was a full-on test of endurance, proving why the Yamaha T7 is built for the toughest rides. There’s nothing like the freedom of knowing that when the roads end, the real journey begins.
Brilliant and very entertaining footage, can’t wait for the next installment, Cheers.
