Conquering the Trans Euro Trail on the NORDEN 901 - EP3

The adventure continues with Adam Riemann on the Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition taking on the Trans Euro Trail as he makes his way from Austria to the UK for the Adventure Bike Rider Festival. In this latest instalment, we witness the rugged journey as Adam and his trusty Norden 901 tackle the next leg of their epic 5000km journey, descending from the majestic peaks of the Italian Alps to find a picturesque lakeside camp in Switzerland.

With over 2500km already behind them and eight days since departing from Austria, the journey has been nothing short of a test of endurance and resilience. The descent through the Italian Alps offers breathtaking scenery and challenging terrains that put both rider and machine to the ultimate test.

As the adventure moves into the serene landscapes of Switzerland, Adam sets up camp by a tranquil lake, providing a moment of respite and a chance to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds him. The peaceful lakeside setting contrasts sharply with the upcoming challenges, serving as a reminder of the diverse experiences that come with adventure motorcycling.

Leaving the serenity of Switzerland behind, the journey progresses into the muddy Trans Euro Trail of central France. The transition from the Alps to the French countryside presents new challenges, with unpredictable wet and grassy trails testing both Adam’s navigation skills and the Norden 901’s off-road capabilities.

Here, Adam navigates his way to a quaint countryside town where his friends and off-road champions Jess Gardiner and Jeremy Carpentier are staying. This town is Jeremy’s childhood home, where his family still reside. Taking a day off from riding, Adam gives the bike a much-needed service and enjoys typical French cuisine, including delicacies like snails and frogs’ legs. This break is just what he needed to recharge and get back in the zone to continue the journey.

Adam must maintain a steady northern course to reach the top of France and make it to the ferry port of Dieppe on time. The pressure mounts as the deadline looms; missing the boat to the UK could spell disaster for the meticulously planned timing to arrive right before he’s due for his first stage appearance!
